St Griselda’s

After his day at the hospice on Thursday 22 October 2009, the Old Man informed me that he wouldn’t be going there any more. This was as an afterthought at the end of a telephone conversation that evening. One of the nurses, he said, had told him that his time there was up.
Nonetheless, the driver from the hospice did collect the Old Man on Thursday 29 October and Thursday 5 November.
A staff nurse from the hospice phoned me on Friday 30 October, and she explained things more clearly. As the Old Man’s cancer seems to be quite stable, it has been decided, in conjunction with Dr F, that instead of going to the hospice the Old Man will be going to a lunch club at St Griselda’s church. This will be on Thursdays, which has the advantage of not disrupting his routine.
