Fraught supervision

On Tuesday 12 January 2010, supervising the Old Man’s morning medication took a long time.
Part of the problem was that the Old Man had run out of half tablets of gliclazide. I got him to find the box of gliclazide, and he cut a tablet in half and swallowed one half straight away. Then when he had assembled the remaining four pills/tablets, he asked me whether he should take the other half tablet with them.
