Sunday 7-3-10

At about 08:30, Mr CJ was hanging out the washing on the clothes-line in his back garden. Mrs CJ went into hospital on Wednesday 3 March 2010, for a hip replacement operation. It is not clear whether she is home yet.
The Old Man was alert that morning.
Early that afternoon, he was talking in his sleep.
I had to tell the Old Man, who was seated on his armchair, not to close the curtains at the rear French doors of the living-room by using the end of his walking-stick. “It’s dirty. Would you use the sole of your shoe?”
He made no reply.
That evening, the Old Man asked me out of the blue:
“Do you realise it’s twenty to eight?”
“What time did you think it was?”
“Ten o’clock.”
