I submitted a comment on http://www.snafflesmummy.com/2015/11/the-first-term-of-school.html , but it wasn’t published. The comment was:
I recently blogged on how things were at primary school back in the day:
I can remember only one request for money, in all my time at Metroland Primary.
There was very little parental involvement, apart from attending Parents’ Evenings.
It was unusual to take anything to school, or bring anything back from school — so we didn’t need schoolbags. There was no school uniform.
Who decided that primary education should become so complicated and stressful? I doubt it was the parents or the kids.
