Saturday 12-3-11: loose change

A day spent sifting through some of the Old Man’s possessions and some of mine.
I had to move the Old Man’s armchair, to gain unimpeded access to the china-cabinet. Underneath the chair and the cabinet I found 50p (2x20p, 1x10p with a cod-liver-oil capsule stuck to it). This discovery impelled me to search down the sides of the Old Man’s armchair — and I retrieved an additional £4.36. Also I retrieved a lot of dirt and debris.
In the small wardrobe in my bedroom, I found a folder containing (amongst other things) some of the Old Man’s war memorabilia that I hadn’t seen for many years and had forgotten. I wish I had been able to discuss that material with him.
