Lion and lamb

It must have been towards the end of March in 1957 or 1958 that I heard Mr Xerxes, the Deceased Lady’s father, say: “March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb.” It was the first time I’d heard that saying.
Mr Xerxes didn’t foresee the weather of March 2013.
